The Traveling Kindness Bouquet!

On July 1, 2008, a 'Pay it Forward' type Traveling Kindness Bouquet was started in Homer.  Recipients were asked to enjoy the bouquet for a few hours, and then take it to a friend, neighbor or relative.  The idea is to keep the Traveling Kindness Bouquet moving, to see how many spirits could be lifted.  Recipients are asked to either call or e-mail the whereabouts of the Traveling Kindness Bouquet, and Lily of the Village will post the travel path here.

Flowers aren't the only way to lift a spirit.  If you know of someone who has done a good faith 'Pay It Forward' type deed, please let us know and we'll document it here for all to see.

Think of others today...be a good friend, a good neighbor and a good relative, and pay it forward!

Remember to check back frequently to keep tabs on the Traveling Kindness Bouquet.

Where have our Traveling Kindness Bouquets been?

On July 1, our happy, smiling Jenny delivered one bouquet to the Village of Homer Office. What better way to make Homer smile than to start the Traveling Kindness Bouquet off at our central hub! Jenny also delivered one to a friend, relative or neighbor of HER choice.  We will anxiously await the announcement of who that was!

7/1/08 2:22 pm - The gals from the Village Office called and they were thrilled with their bouquet.  Teresa and Dawn say the Traveling Kindness Bouquet is an awesome idea and it brightened their day!  Who will get it next.....?

7/2/08 - The Traveling Kindness Bouquet has been spotted at Irvin's Hardware and Salon Essentials.  We've also heard that the second bouquet visited Christine Merrit, and then Marcy Welker for a while and now it's on it's way to Elizabeth Cortright.

7/7/08 - Well, our Traveling Bouquet had quite a busy weekend!  After it's visit to Ms. Cortright, the Traveling Kindness Bouquet made it's way to Mary Lewis and then to Nancy Wade.  Nancy brought it back in to be freshened up, and it was on it's way to Ruth Hickerson!

7/11/08 - The Traveling Bouquet has been gallivanting all over town!  It's visited County National Bank, Bernie's Tavern & Caring and Sharing.  After that it went to the Homer Area Community  Foundation.  We've received many nice comments about the Traveling Bouquet.  We hope it gets to your door soon!
